Once a year it should be inspected but always visually look for damage after a storm.

The new architectural shingles and the galvalum metal roofing are both guaranteed for life.

Most roofs have a 25 year life span so if your roof is close to that it will likely need replacing soon or if it has experienced a lot of events that caused unusual damage.
