Frame Warehouse Puts The Spotlight On Any Subject Without The High Price

By Pamela Sosnowski

Choosing a frame is usually an afterthought when displaying artwork or photography, yet the right frame can help put the spotlight on its subject. Frame Warehouse has been providing expert framing advice, not to mention quality mounting and framing materials, since 1982.

"The inspiration evolved from the photography business," explains the store's Manager, Eric Ardery. "There were lots of pictures being taken but consumers had very few options to get their things professionally framed. Frame Warehouse strives to guarantee the lowest prices in the business without sacrificing quality."

The store's motto is "Gallery quality at warehouse prices" and indeed, the staff has helped mount and frame materials from sports memorabilia to kids' artwork for the most competitive prices. Customers can shop online or visit any of the 14 locations throughout North and South Carolina and Virginia, and most framing projects are ready in less than a week, often within days. Some qualify for same day service.

The staff specializes in commercial framing jobs as well, and has served local businesses including country clubs, sports teams, colleges, motels, and automobile dealers. They can frame and ship pieces all over the U.S., and assist with design consulting, art pick-up, finished frame delivery, and even hanging the artwork.

"There are thousands of options on how to frame a piece," explains Ardery. "This is what makes the design process so much fun. All of our employees are trained to listen to our customer, diagnose their needs and/or requests, recommend some options, and educate them of those recommendations. We have framed close to everything over the years but through the design process, each customer has a one-of-a-kind original framed piece."

The variety of frame styles available is unlimited and the store's frame designers can offer advice on mounting, matting, multiple matting, fillets, and specialty cuts such as ovals and openings which are made possible by laser cutting technology. Frame Warehouse also sells ready-made frames, mirrors, and framed art.

"Some of the framed art that is displayed is from local artists," says Ardery. "We like to give a few of our frequent customers opportunity to display some of their artwork. We like to show off any unique designs that could give a new visitor to our store some visual ideas while we help them."

Frame Warehouse guarantees the lowest prices in the region, and invites customers to bring in a quote for comparable materials from a competitor so they can match or beat it. By providing exceptional service and expert advice, the retailer is hoping they'll continue to serve framing needs for decades to come.
