Tell us a little bit about your experience, company history and the services you offer.

Serving Fayetteville, NC and Cumberland County since 1955 At Olde Fayetteville, we help clients find insurance solutions that are right for them, whether it is for their personal, family or business needs. As an independent agency, we are currently licensed with more than 30 health and life insurance carriers. The insurance carriers we offer have been consistently top-rated by A.M. Best, Standard & Poors, Moody's and other highly regarded organizations.

Is there something about home insurance that most people don't know that they should know?

Most people assume there is no dollar limit on how property is covered. They should know their deductibles and know that items of high value should be listed and you would need to itemize things like jewelry, guns, furs, art collections, other collectibles.

When would a homeowner want to consider high value home insurance?

Homes need to always be insured to value.

What type of coverage does someone who owns a home need?

They need replacement cost on their home and their contents, need to have an inflation guard built into their policies, a schedule of items of high value, and coverage for detached structures.

What's the difference between a vacant and an unoccupied home when it comes to insurance needs?

Vacant means no intent to return to the home. Unoccupied mean the persons are just away (like seasonal/secondary homes/vacation homes). An owner of a vacant or secondary home just needs to make sure their policy is written correctly as to not compromise coverage. There are exclusions in standard homeowners policies that would limit or even deny coverage if dwellings are vacant.

Do you have a tip for homeowners to help them save money on their home insurance premium?

You can install monitored alarms, increase deductibles, and review your policy every 2-3 years to make sure values are accurate.

What's the best way for people to get in touch with you and your company?
